Stockport Academy 2007 to 2008 Contract Value £3,000,000

Stockport Academy replaces Avondale High School.  The building covers 10,500m² of school space and is managed by the United leaning Trust.

We started with excavation for  piles and ground beams installed the underslab drainage and ducting, volclay tanking membrane and cast the ground floor slab.  The upper floors consisted of metal decking we laid the mesh and concrete the suspended slabs.

To maximise the available site we constructed 140 Lm of 5M high retaining walls. Our package also included the external hard landscaping and carparking.
