Located within Manchester’s Knowledge Quarter, the Citylabs campus provides specialist laboratory and workspace accommodation for diagnostics, MedTech, digital health and genomics businesses. Adana Construction delivered the external works packages to Citylabs 2.0 and 3.0, comprising drainage, ducting, Section 278 works and external hard landscaping. For Citylabs 4.0, the last phase of the campus, Adana Construction carried out enabling works, installation of new drainage outfall connections, substructure works (including foundations, lift pit construction and waterproofing), below-ground drainage and ducting up to ground floor slab level, and full external works including service installations and hard landscaping. Citylabs 4.0 further strengthens Manchester’s reputation as a leading centre for life sciences, precision medicine and health innovation.

Burlington House is one of Manchester’s most centrally located residential developments, designed by internationally acclaimed architects SimpsonHaugh. The 11-storey building features cantilevered floor slabs at levels seven and ten and occupies a constrained site bordered by canals on two sides and live roads on the other two. Adana’s early involvement during the design stage proved critical in addressing the technical challenges presented by the scheme, particularly in relation to the cantilever construction, helping to ensure the project could be delivered safely and efficiently.
