The Main Stand is one of the largest all-seater single stands in Europe. Adana Construction was contracted to deliver the concrete floors and foundations for the scheme. Due to the large scale of the foundations, two concrete pumps were utilised simultaneously, pouring in excess of 1000m³ of concrete in one day, with a total of 10,000m³ used in the foundations overall.
The ground floor slab comprised approximately 6,000m3 of concrete, while 27,000m3 of concrete on metal decking was installed for the upper floor slabs. The expansion increased the Main Stand’s capacity by approximately 8,500 seats. Following the successful completion of these works, Adana was also awarded and completed the external hard landscaping package for the project.
