This residential scheme in New Islington was delivered in two phases. Phase one involved Adana Construction constructing a basement car park, including lift shafts, stair cores, and reinforced concrete columns, while maintaining the integrity of sheet-piled walls below canal level.
Phase two comprised a 9-storey apartment block with cantilevered floors between levels 3 and 6, creating an irregular building outline. Cantilevered sections were supported with shoring and jacking until completion. Adana supplied two tower cranes and a range of mobile concrete pumps, including a 63m pump—the largest in the UK at the time.
