The Liverpool School of Architecture is undergoing a major construction project that includes a new extension and improvements to existing buildings. The £23 million extension, designed by O’Donnell + Tuomey opened in January 2026 featuring enhanced teaching and research facilities. The project also includes eco-friendly materials and improvements to the 1930s buildings, originally designed by Charles Reilly.
Adana Construction successfully delivered the foundations, drainage, ground floor slab and exposed concrete frame on the project. The building features several distinctive architectural elements, including curved balconies, fluted soffits, and 9-metre-high exposed concrete walls, all of which required careful planning and skilled execution to achieve the desired finish.
