The Merseyside Police Operational Command Centre in Speke, Liverpool, is a three-storey exposed reinforced concrete frame with a total floor area of 13,500 m². Adana Construction delivered the in-situ reinforced concrete works, including pile caps and ground beams forming the substructure. The superstructure comprised reinforced concrete slabs, including the ground floor, together with fair-faced circular and square columns designed to remain exposed. Exposed soffits required high-quality formwork and precise workmanship throughout. Reinforced concrete lift shafts were constructed with recessed tie-rod patterns, with tie holes carefully finished to achieve a consistent architectural appearance. The completed building provides a robust, functional, and visually striking civic facility.
